So I finally came around to scan my second sketchbook, it took a while, eight months almost to the day. So why did it take that long, its not that I didn’t have the time, well for some of the time that could have been the reason, but mostly it’s due to lazyness and the fact, that scanning and making all the stuff presentable is just a frackin’ pain in the ass.
Well I could have just uploaded all the rough scans, which would have saved about 80% of the time, if not quite a bit more. But I like it all tidied up and presentable and I kind of think it looks much more professional that Way. And then of course there’s the fact that I did it with my first sketchbook and want to be consistent. Yeah I like consistency, for the most part anyway, except for bedtimes which are far from being consistent, you could say they are consistently inconsistent.

But this entry isn’t about my sleeping habits, it’s about my second scetchbook, which by the way is around one and a half to two years old right now (it depends on from which end you’re looking at it), so lets get to it. Its name is “I’m no Superman!” as you might have guessed from the title of this post, and this time it refers to three visual madia titles, two TV-Series and a Movie:
The Movie being the new Superman returns Movie, which wasn’t that good at all.
The one TV-Series being Scrubs (the song from the intro), which I still haven’t seen completely, only the first two seasons, but its on my list.
The other TV-Series being Heroes (1st season rocked, 2nd wasn’t that great and 3rd was getting better and better again, so lets hope for the 4th to continue that), so who would want to be Superman, if you could be Peter Petrelli or even Sylar.

Also starting with this sketchbook, they won’t just have names, but also cover drawings related to the name in one way or another.
And if you’re thinking: “Geez … shut up and show the pretty pictures already!” I’m almost there … so here they are, the cover and the best of the first 19 pages from “I’m no Superman!”:

I’ve finally reached the end of my sketchbook “Slave of a Fool”, therefore here some statistics:

I always had an interest and faszination for fashion style and it’s a pity that male fashion lacks variation, I mean sure, there is some but compared to female fashion it’s just pitiful. So I started to sketch my own fashion designs which have a more or less feminine touch to them … well, I would wear that stuff, but I didn’t get around to actually sew those clothes, I mean I planned to, but some major laziness came inbetween …
… and there will be a bunch more fashion designs in the next posts, but for now the best of the pages 262 – 292 from “Slave of a Fool”:
SketchBook: Slave of a Fool - Best of Pages 262-271
SketchBook: Slave of a Fool - Best of Pages 272-279
SketchBook: Slave of a Fool - Best of Pages 280-292

The following Page is a sketch for a poster, that my sister wants me to paint for her. The motive is from a Stephen King book, “Hearts in Atlantis” if my memory serves me right. Until now I didn’t get around to actually paint it, mainly becouse I’m still unsatisfied with the pose in respect to the whole poster layout, but I’ve still hope that I will paint the poster some time in the future …
